Dr. Jennifer Luz leads the Sports Concussion Clinic with consultant Dr. Alan Ashare, chair, USA Hockey Safety and Protective Equipment Committee and chair, MIAA Sports Medicine Committee. All treatment plans are tailored to the individual athlete and utilize a diverse medical care team, including but not limited to ENT, neurology, neuro-ophthalmology, vestibular and ocular rehabilitation, and physical therapy.
The clinic uses ImPACT, a neurocognitive assessment tool, and other evidence-based methods to monitor athletes. Open communication with the school, sports teams, and the workplace make for a safe and effective recovery.
Dr. Luz, trained in the leading research-based concussion program, also offers educational workshops to coaches, parents and schools.
