Thomas Gill, MD
Dr. Gill is the Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, and professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. In recent years, he has served as medical director for the Boston Red Sox, head team physician for the New England Patriots, team physician for the Boston Bruins and medical director of Boston Ballet. Dr. Gill has authored more than 200 scientific articles and book chapters on injuries involving the knee and shoulder, and has written books on Complications of Shoulder Surgery and Techniques of Knee Arthroscopy.
A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Gill completed his residency at the Harvard Combined Orthopedic Residency Program. He completed the Maurice Muller Fellowship in reconstructive surgery in Bern, Switzerland, and his fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado.
