Hans Van Lancker, MD
Dr. Van Lancker is the Vice Chair of Orthopedic Surgery and the Chief of the Orthopedic Trauma Service at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center. He is also a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School and active in medical student, resident and fellow education and research. He is board certified by both the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Van Lancker is busy and accomplished orthopedic trauma surgeon with experience at multiple Level I trauma centers and, as Vice President of Trauma Services, is working to develop the trauma capacity here at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and the Steward Healthcare Network. Dr. Van Lancker is a graduate of the Alpert Medical School of Brown University and did his residency training at McGill University Health Centre in Montreal, Canada. He then completed the Harvard Orthopaedic Trauma fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Van Lancker has been the recipient of multiple awards for patient experience and outcomes and has and continues to author multiple book chapters, research articles and national and international presentations on Orthopedic Trauma.
